About CMBA:
The China Medicinal Biotech Association (CMBA) was formed to bring together the scientific specialists, professionals and entrepreneurs throughout China in 1993. They are engaged in study, development, production, application and operation management as well as teaching of the medical biological technologies. With its 15 subsidiary committees in specialty areas, the association has gathered a group of managers, entrepreneurs, and experts who are engaged in the biomedical technologies. It is a subordinate of Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China. CMBA consisted by 200 enterprise members and over 2000 professional individuals.
China Medical Biotech Forum is organized by China Medicinal Biotech Association, which has been successfully held four times in Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao and Dalian respectively. It is one of the most influential events in the field of Chinese medicinal biotechnology. The primary goal of this event is to provide a forum for the exchange of current information about new and emerging scientific knowledge, and to discuss implications for future research and the application of new medicinal biotechnology.
Past Event of CMBF:
The China Medicinal Biotech Forum has been successfully held four times during the past few years: the 1st Medical Biotech Forum was held in Beijing, the 2nd Medical Biotech Forum was held in Shanghai, the 3rd Medical Biotech Forum was successfully held during Sep. 7-9, 2007 in Qingdao, Shandong and the 4th Forum was held during August 7-9, 2009 in Dalian.
The 4th China Medicinal Biotech Forum (CMBF) was Co-hosted by China Medicinal Biotech Association, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Chinese Military Academy of Medical Sciences and Dalian municipal government, co-supported by China Ministry of Science and Biotechnology Development Center, China Pharmaceutical Association. NPC Vice Chairman, academician, Mr. Sang Guowei was invited to attend the meeting and give a keynote speech entitled "China's drug innovation and development strategies and major measures".
In order to meet the different needs of our participants, the forum consists of two Parallel sections: Domestic and Overseas. The domestic section focused on the hottest topics in China, such as Biotechnology and Medicine, Policies and Regulations for Drug, the Competitiveness of Chinese Medicine Industry and the challenges and opportunities for development. The overseas section gathered more than 500 participants from all over the world to discuss the latest achievements and breakthroughs.
2009 the 4th Medical Biotech Forum was successfully held in Dalian Municipal Party Committee Hotel, Dalian, China during Aug. 8-10, 2009.
As one of the most influential medical biotech forum, it is organized by China Medicinal Biotechnology Association, and co-hosted with Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences. Dr. Sang Guowei, Vice-Chairman of 11th NPC Standing Committee; Chairman of Central Committee of CPWDP; Researcher of National Institute for Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products; Director-General of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, China, Dr. Chen Zhu, The Minister of Health, China, Mr. Zheng Hong, Director-General, Department of Drug Policies and Essential Drug Policy, Ministry of Health, China, Dr. Wang Hongguang, Director General, China National Center for Biotechnology Development, The Ministry of Science and Technology, China, Dr. Liu Depei, Vice president, Chinese Academy of Engineering; President, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College (CAMS & PUMC), China, Mr. Zhang Yongxiang, Vice director of Department of Sciences and Technology, The Academy of Military Medical Sciences, China, Mr. Yin Hongzhang, Head, Division of Biological Products, Department of Drug Registration, State Food and Drug Administration, China and Mr. Feng Duojia, Vice-President of China National Biotec Group, China delivered the keynote speeches at the opening ceremony of the event. Then, 200 speakers from both china and abroad gave oral presentation during the following three days. More than 800 professionals attend the forum. They are Executives or Directors of Pharmaceutical Industries, Research Scientists, Regulatory Personnel and Intellectual Property Officers, Financial Controllers, potential Investors and Personal Assistants, Parma and Biotech Research Managers, Research Chemists and Biologist computational Researchers, Policy Makers at Drug Administration Organizations.
The 4th Medicinal Biotech Forum has provided carefully designed and high level event for business leaders to know and enter Chinese market, deliver new products and advance understanding of the potential of new technologies, helped the professionals to network with other delegates and built up partnerships and raise your profile as a professional in the medicinal biotech field.
